Peter Keith was born in 1830 in Pennsylvania, United States, son of Rev. Lewis Levi Keith (1799–1859) and Leah Sarah (Lowmaster) Keith (1809–1904).

Peter died on 18 Mar 1863 in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States, aged 32.[1] He was buried in McDowell Cemetery, Clymer, Pennsylvania.
