Elijah Milton Kierstead was born on 30 Jul 1886 in Hopewell Hill, Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada, son of William Robert Kierstead (1862–1935) and Susanna Milton (1860–1905).[1]

On 28 Sep 1919 at Hopewell Hill, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada, Elijah married Elizabeth Jane Jonah (born on 7 Apr 1898 in Kings County, New Brunswick; daughter of James Chesley Jonah and Eunice Delilah (Horsman) Jonah).

Elijah died on 23 Sep 1962 in Saint John, Saint John County, New Brunswick, aged 76. He is commemorated at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John, Saint John County, New Brunswick.[1]
