Solomon Farnham Kimball was born on Feb. 2, 1847 in Winter Quarters / Florence (defunct), Douglas County, Nebraska, the son of Heber Kimball and Vilate Murray. Solomon came to Utah in 1848 in his father's company. Solomon was a Private in the Utah Territory Military Calvary Unit during the Black Hawk War.
He married Zula Ursulia Pomeroy on 10 Feb 1881 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. They had the following children:

Solomon died February 2, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah and is buried in the City Cemetery there.[1]
