When Mary Elizabeth King was born on April 28, 1843, in Wilkinson, Georgia, her father, John Jehu King, was 36, and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Polly Goddy, was 32. She married George Augustus Langford on February 10, 1859, in Pike, Alabama.[1]
They had 11 children in 26 years. She died on December 1, 1900, in Stephens, Texas, at the age of 57, and was buried there.
