Biography

1810 - John W. Kinread was born on August 8, 1810 in Whitehaven, England the second child and first son to George Henry Kinread (age 28) and Ann Ford (about age 28).

1820 - At age 10, he came to Canada with his parents and siblings and settled in Rexton, New Brunswick.

1838 - At age 27, he married Ann Peters on April 8, 1838 in Richibucto, New Brunswick.

John's sister, Martha, married Stephen Peters. John's wife, Ann, was Stephen's sister.

John and Ann's daughter, Mary Ann married Alfred Edward Peters the son of ?????

John was listed on census records as a carpenter, a miller, and a farmer. They lived in Mill Creek, Kent County, New Brunswick, Saint John, New Brunswick, and Moncton, NB.

Grant documents have been found stating that John W. Kinread and Thomas Kinread were each granted 100 acres in Moncton and close to the McLaughlin Road.

1881 - Census lists John Kinread as a carpenter and a Methodist.

1886 - He died at age 76 on December 20, 1886 in Moncton, New Brunswick. 1886 - Buried: Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, New Brunswick
