Edward Earl Kleinhampl was born 26 August 1927 to Frank Kleinhampl and Frances Zeithaml in Portage, Portage, Ohio.[1][2]
Edward is in a foster home in the 1930 US Census with the Hanzel family.[3] They are from Czechoslovakia, like Edward's parents, so are most likely associated with the family somehow. He is found living with the Demings, Earl and Effie, a foster family, in the 1940 US Census.[4]
Edward was a marine.[5] He enlisted October 26, 1943. He was a:

Edward married Alice Laye.[7] Edward and Alice had a daughter, Nancy.[8]
Edward passed away May 31, 2003 at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Portage, Ohio, USA.[9] He had suffered from Alzheimer's, though it isn't stated on the death record if that was the cause.[10] Edward is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ravenna, Ohio.[11]
