Henry Kline was born around 1760 in Frederick County, Maryland, the son of Conrad Cline and Anna Barbara Seib. He was the second son of this marriage and recognized in his father's will without being named. All of the other children are presented by name, thus, implying that Henry remaining unnamed was an oversight.[1]His approximate year of birth is presented in the 1830 Census.[2]
Compulsory registration in the local militia was continued in the aftermath of the American Revolution. Henry Kline was listed as an individual subject to the performance of militia duty from Bedford County.[3]
Henry married Mary Decker sometime around 1791, most likely in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.[4]
He passed away before January 10, 1831, the day his will was presented for probate.[5]
Henry Kline's will is presented here.[6]
