Biography

George William Knifong was born on March 16, 1879 in Sullivan County, Missouri. He was the son of George Washington Knifong and Martha Ann Pipes.

In June, 1880, George William Knifong was living with his family in Pleasant Hill Township, Sullivan County, Missouri.

In June, 1900, George William Knifong was living with his family in Benton, Linn County, Missouri.

George William Knifong married Louise "Lulu" Shifflett on August 28, 1916 in Jackson County, Missouri. She was the daughter of James Dudley Shifflett & Mary Elizabeth Pace Shifflett.

In 1920, George William Knifong & Louise "Lulu" Shifflett were farming in Walnut, Crawford County, Kansas. Louise "Lulu" Shifflett's mother, Mary Elizabeth Pace Shifflett, age 82, was living with them.

In 1930, George William Knifong and Louise "Lulu" Shifflett were living in Siloam Springs, Benton, Arkansas. He was a real estate agent, working on his own account. They owned a home valued at $3,000.00.

By 1933, George William Knifong and Louise "Lulu" Shifflett had moved to Denver, Denver County, Colorado.

George William Knifong died on February 15, 1934 in Denver, Denver County, Colorado. He was buried in Fairmount Cemetery,
