Roll of Honor
Private William Knight Died While Prisoner of War during The United States Civil War.

William was born in 1833. He was the son of John Knight and Martha Webb.

He served the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. He was a Private in Company I., 5th Regiment, Alabama Infantry.

He died, at the age of 31, on November 16, 1864 at the Elmira Military Prison in Elmira, New York. He is buried in plot #955 at the Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County, New York. [1]
