Lena KOHL was born to John Wolfe Kohl and Sarah Walpole on May 29, 1870 in Jerseyville, Illinois[1] Her father John was born in Milwaukee WI and her mother Sarah was born in New Jersey.

Married Life
In 1885 Lena Kohl married Charles (Jones) Kohl, her cousin on her mother's side, and a "step-cousin" on her father's side. His parents were George Kohl and Harriet Walpole Kohl.
In the 1900 Federal Census, we find them living in St Louis Ward 24, St Louis (Independent City), Missouri on Wyoming Street. Household members included:[2]

From the 1910 United States Federal Census , we find them in St Louis Ward 24, St Louis (Independent City), Missouri. Their last name was spelled Kahl.

From the 1920 Census, we find that the family moved to Stratford, Marathon Co., WI. There were lots of relations living in that area. The household included:[4]

In 1930, the census shows that it is only 'Chas' and Lena at home. He was listed as 71, and a laborer in motorcars, and she was 59. They were living at 708 Lafayette Ave in St. Louis, MO.[5]
Her husband Charles died from arteriosclerosis on 2 Jan 1937 in St. Louis, at the City Hospital. He was buried at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis on January 4, 1937.[6]
She died on 17 Dec 1944 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO from Chronic Myocarditis. Her address had been 5294A Page Blvd.[7]
