Louis de Lacorne was born 15 May 1696 in Saint-Ours, given lay baptism at birth, baptism supplemented 24 June in Montréal (ND), son of Jean Louis de Lacorne de Chaptes and Marie de Pécaudy. His godfather was Louis de Buade de Frontenac comte de Palluau, godmother Charlotte Denys wife of de Ramezay, who both signed the record with the father.[1]
Marriage
Louis La Corne married Élisabeth de Ramezay on 1 Sept 1740 in Notre-Dame de Montréal,[2] There was notice of consanguinity between them.
Known children
Per his wife's funeral, he was seigneur of Terrebonne.[3]

Military career
Louis was an officer of Marine companies in New Frace: He was a Cadet in Canada in 1709, second ensign on 6 May 1720, foot-ensign on 22 March 1732, Lieutenant's ensign on 22 March 1732, foot-lieutenant on 1 April 1733, captain on 24 April 1744, commanding in Fort Michillimakinac on 25 August 1745, retiring from the armed forces on 1 January 1758. He was made a Chevalier of the Order of Saint-Louis on 1 April 1751.[5][6]
Death
Louis de Chapt de Lacorne, husband of Élisabeth de Ramezay, was buried on 2 April 1762 in Terrebonne, the record giving him 62 years of age.[7]
