Jackson Land was born about March 27, 1852 in Switzerland County, Indiana, United States to parents William Land and Frances McCreary.

Jackson obtained a marriage license with bride Sarah "Sallie" White on February 8, 1875 in Switzerland County, Indiana.^[1] Together they had three, possibly four children, of whom one lived to adulthood:

He passed away about December 28, 1930 (78 yrs) in Florence, Switzerland County, Indiana, United States. Hia body was buried in Florence Cemetery of Florence, Switzerland County, Indiana, United States. ^[2]
