Frederick "Fred" Landes was born in 1822 [1]in Ohio. he was the son of
Frederick Lands Sr. (1777-1850) and Mary Thomas (1782-1844). The family sold their farm and moved to Carroll County Indiana, near Delphi.
He married Lydia Dunkin (1826-1909) on November 21, 1846 in Carroll County, Indiana.[2] They had 6 children.
They made their home in Carrolton, Carroll County, Indiana in 1860, where he was a farmer, and Lydia was taking care of the home and children, Florida-9, Orlando-5, and James-5months old.[3] They were on a farm in Deer Creek Twp., Miami County, Indiana in 1880, where he was farming and Lydia was taking care of the home and children, Orlando-24, James A-20, Lonelin-9, and 'Anna E-4.[4]
He died in 1895 at the age of 73, in Cedar Valley, Blaine County, Oklahoma, and was buried in the Winn View Cementery in Blaine County, Oklahoma.[1]
