Biography

George Landon was born 22 December 1817 in South Hero Township, Grand Isle, Vermont, the son of Bird Landon and Susan Lane.^[1] George was their third child. Both Bird and Susan were born in, and resided in, South Hero Township.^[2]

George Landon was born in 1817 in South Hero Township, Vermont, the son of Bird Landon and Susan Lane. George married Mary Amanda Sanford, the daughter of Ezbon Sanford and Mary Bradley. They had two sons, Stanley, born in 1849; and Charles E., 1851-1936.^[3]

George and Mary A. Landon are mentioned in the birth record of their son, Charles E. Landon, born 22 September 1864 in Williston Township, Chittenden, Vermont.^[4]George, a farmer, was born in South Hero, VT; Mary was born in Williston, VT. The Landon family resided in Williston.^[5]

George was born in 1817, the son of Bird Landon (1786-1836) and Susan Lane (1787-1875). George had at least seven siblings. George married Mary Sanford. They had at least two children. George died, aged 71, in 1889, and is buried in Washington Cemetery, Washington, Washington County, Kansas. ^[9]
