John Edward Langley was born on 17 Nov. 1893 at Texas, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 in the household of his parents, William A. "Gus" Langley and Courtney (Dromgoole) Langley, at Justice Precinct 7, Guadalupe Co., Texas.[2] He appeared on the census of 12 May 1910 in the household of his parents at Caldwell County, Texas. [3]
He married Lucille J. Tiller, daughter of James Lee Tiller and Lou Emma (Williams) Tiller[4], circa 1919.[1] He and Lucille appeared on the census of 16 March 1920 in the household of his parents at Staples, Guadalupe Co., Texas.[5]
He was a mechanic in his own garage when he and Lucille appeared on the census of 4 April 1930 at Caldwell County, Texas.[6] He and Lucille appeared on the census of 26 April 1940 at Caldwell County, Texas, USA.[7]
John died on 6 Aug. 1984 at Hays County, Texas, at age 90[8]and was buried at Prairie Lea Masonic Cemetery, Prairie Lea, Caldwell County, Texas. His memorial has two photos and a link to that of his wife. The inscription on his headstone reads:
