He married Nancy Bookout about 1860.[2] They were the parents of Ezekiel, John, William and Absalom.[3]
Jehoiada died at the age of about 30 in 1869 in Izard Co., Arkansas. He is buried at Spring Creek Cemetery in Izard County, Arkansas.[4]

Find A Grave has given this man the name Jehoiada James Langston. Marker is not original to time of death and has the name as Jehoiada J. Langston. On the 1850 census Jehoiada and James are two separate entries.
