Biography

John had been a naval physician.

John, son of Colin Lauder, surgeon, Edinburgh, was served co-heir of Provision-General to his grandfather, John Milne, founder in Edinburgh, on 14th February 1792.^[1]

Francis Lauder, writer, and Alexander Lauder, Edinburgh, were served co-heirs on 14th October 1814 as only surviving brothers-german [which was untrue] of the deceased Dr. John Lauder, physician, late at the Depot at Pennycuik and who also had a farm let at Easter Tearie, Dyke, County Elgin [1]

Death notice: 14 Apr 1794 John Lauder 2nd son of Colin Lauder on his passage from Jamaica to London.^[2]
