She went to Smith College, graduating in 1938 [check]. One of her friends, Isabel Dempsey, would become her sister-in-law when Dorothea's younger brother, Jean, married Isabel's younger sister, Louise in 1946.[2]
Dorothea married Lubin Palmer, Jr., in 1943. They had one child, Lubin Palmer III, and divorced after he went to college.[3] She married Robert Landis from Dayton, Ohio, in xxxxx
After her divorce, Dorothea worked as an interior designer. She died on 8 July 2015 in Dayton, Ohio.
