Biography

Ann was born in 1858. She was the daughter of George Lester and Emma (Upton) Lester.^[1]

In the 1861 census she was recorded with her parents at Morrey, Yoxall, Staffordshire.^[2]

She married Thomas Heathcote, an agricultural labourer, in Yoxall on 4 November 1878.^[3]

In the 1891 census they were living in Yoxall.^[4]

In the 1901 and 1911 censuses Ann and Thomas were living in Horninglow, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.^[5][6]

In the 1939 Register she was a widow living at 13 William Street, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, with her unmarried daughter Sarah Ann Heathcote.^[7]

She died in Burton on 5 June 1942.^[8][9]
