Records show they lived in Jackson Co. Al. and came to Simpson Co. Ms. John Ramsey land was north of Sharon Cemetery, in Dry Creek community according to land grants He had 764 acres of land and 14 slaves in 1860. It seems like he came to Ms. 1820, because he purchased land in 1841 in Simpson Co. Ms. Information was furnished by Betty Kennedy. My daddy and mother would talk about Grandpa John Thompson, grandfather owned salves. Found the family of John R. Little, 1870 census in Simpson Co. Ms. John R. Little was 76 years of age and his spouse Catherine was 70 years of age. It showed Duncan Little and Alex Little were listed as sons.
