He married Gertraud Blass, a widow, on April 16, 1770 at Germantown. Gertraud died on September 30, 1770, two days after giving birth to their son, Johannes.
He married Elisabeth Schuhmacher on October 8th, 1771 at Germantown. Together they had a daughter and a son, Catharina and Philip.
Philip was in the 11th Regiment of Albany County, New York during the Revolutionary War.
He passed away prior to August 3rd, 1795 when his father's will was written.
