Christopher Leigh-Mallory Longridge was born in 1920, at Bucklow in Cheshire, England. [1] His father, Harry Morgan Longridge, was 40 and his mother, Annie Victoria Mallory, was 33. He was Christened on the 18th of September 1920 in Mobberley, Cheshire, England. [2] Christopher was the youngest of five siblings, he had three brothers and one sister.[3]

He was killed in 1941 [4] when the S.S. Almeda Star was torpedoed [5] by U96 [6] about 35 miles northeast of Rockall in the North Atlantic. He is remembered on the war Memorial at Marine Parade West in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire. [7]

Christopher's will was granted probate by the Cheshire probate office in Chester on the 21st of October 1941. [8]
