Biography
Private Sylvanus Loud served with Suffolk County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
Sylvanus Loud is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A071761.
Sylvanus was born in 1759.[1] He was probably baptized 1 Jun 1760, which is sometimes shown as date of birth.
On March 9,1777. he enlisted in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Capt. Silas Wild's Co., Col.Brooks regiment. He served until April 3 1778 , a total of 4 months and 30 days at Cambridge guarding "troops of convention." He later applied for and received a Revolutionary War pension.
He married Lydia Lovell in 1781. Children:

- Lydia
He was still living in Weymouth in 1800.[2]
He passed away in 1844.
