Bertha Annie Lyons was born in 1930 in Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada, her father, Theodore, was 27, and her mother, Emma, was 22. She married Donald Aitken Wilson on March 11, 1946, in her hometown. They had four children during their marriage. She died on June 18, 2023, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 93.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bertha Annie Wilson announce her passing, at Shannex, Neill Hall Fredericton on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Bom in Carrolls Crossing. NB on February 3,1930, to the late Theodore and Emma (Arbeau) Lyons. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Bertha (Nan) will live on in the hearts of her son Donald (Wanda) Wilson, Minto, NB and daughter Ruth (Don) Simpson, B.C. Nan’s pride and joy was Granddaughter Jolynn Wilson (Anthony) and grandsons Mark Clark, D. Jody Wilson (Barbara) and Jacob Wilson (Barbara). Great grandchildren Rebekah London (Mike), Brayden London (Chelsea), Karr Wilson, Kirsten Clark, Scarlett Wilson, Matti Pollari, Liam Wilson, and Sadie Wilson, great-great grandchildren Joey, Jack, and Oaklynn.
Bertha is also survived by the Price Girls who adopted her as their Nan, Sisters- in- law, Joyce Briggs and Diana Lyons and many nieces and nephews.
Bertha was predeceased by her husband Donald, Daughter Eileen Canney and Son-in- law John Canney, infant son Gary, Granddaughter Jennifer Simpson, two sisters and four brothers.
