Biography
Joseph Frederic Léger was born on August 8, 1894 in Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States, son of André Léger (1854–1944) and Marie Célina Richard (1870–1958).[1]
He married Edmée LeBlanc in Barachois on 17 Nov 1919.[2]
Frederic passed away on April 20, 1976 in Shediac, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, aged 81..[3]

The death of Frederick Leger of Villa Providence Nursing Home Shediac and formerly of Barachois occurred Tuesday after a lengthy illness. he was 81. Born in Fitchburg, Mass., he was a son of the late Andre and Celina (Richard) Leger. He was a farmer until retirement years ago and attended the St. Henri du Barachois Roman Catholic Church. His wife, the former Edme LeBlanc, died in 1961. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Wilfred LeBlanc (Diana) of St. Anselme, Mrs. Jack Newlands (Rita) of Shediac, Rev. Sister Angela Leger of Cheticamp, N.S., and Mrs. Roland Tremble (Alfreda) of St. Marc, Quebec.; seven sons, Edouard and Henri, both of Shediac, Cloris of Robichaud, Amede of Dartmouth, N.S., Donald of Moncton, Rene of St. Antoine, Que., and Fernand of Rothesay; five sisters, Mrs. Premilia Belliveau of Fitchburg, Mrs. Clifford Michaud (Lena) of Haverville, Mass., Mrs. Henry Ash (Alvida) of Fitchburg, Mrs. Eva LeBlanc and Mrs. Nap LeBlanc (Aurore), both of Upper Aboujagane; 29 grandchildren, several great grandchildren. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Henri du Barachois Roman Catholic Church with interment in the Barachois Roman Catholic Cemetery.
