Alexander R. Beaton sr., was married in the States to Margaret MacIsaac, daughter of "Niall Ban," and had issue: i. Donald, ii. John, iii. Jessie, iv. Neil Alexander, v. Mary and a son and two daughters who died in infancy. They lived at MacKinnons' Brook, Mabou. He died on the 18th of February, 1941, at New Waterford where he had moved in 1927.[1]
Alexander R Beaton (51) is on the 1911 census with wife Maggie (54) and their children; Donald (23), John (21), Jessie (19), Neil A (15) and Mary (12).[2]
