Taraheru), dau. of Henry Deans DODS, of Manchester and Sale, Cheshire, Bombay and E. India merchant (he arr. Adelaide, 21 Aug 1886 and settled at Linburn Station, Waitama Valley, New Zealand, his family having migrated from Haddington, East Lothian) by his wife (and first cousin), Mary Catherine Dods, dau. of Peter DODS, merchant in Montreal and officer HEIC Bombay Army.
