Biography
Jacob was born at Engi, Glarus, Switzerland, April 7, 1754.
He was the son of Sebastien Marti (b, Feb.13,1706 at Engi) and Elisabeth Jakober (b. Jan.22,1716 at Matt).
Jakob, 24, was married at Switzerland, January 22,1779, to Barbara Stauffacher, age 20.
They had 10 children, including Dietrich (1787), and Elsbeth (1783).
Jacob passed away at Switzerland, November 15,1835, age 81.. [1]
