Biography

Robert was the son of Robert Mason and Mary Watson.

Robert married Sara Monck, daughter of George Monck of St. Stephen's Green, Dublin and the Hon Mary Molesworth.

Children

1. John Monck, of Masonhrook, M.P. barrister-at-law, married in 1766, Catherine Mitchell, second daughter of Henry Mitchell, esq. of Glasnevin, in the county of Dublin. He sold the family estate of Masonhrook.
2. Henry Monck (Mark) marrid (1) Jane Dillon, daughter of James Dillon, esq. of Johnstown, Athlone, (2) in 1774, Jane Mosse, daughter of Bartholomew Mosse, M.D.
3. William. Lieutenant in Otway's regiment, killed at Quebec.
4. Robert Watson, died young.
5. Judith, married 1733, Thomas Monck, esq. barrister-at-law, M.P.
6. Charles Stanley Monck, who was elevated to the Peerage as Baron Monck, in 1797.
7. Thomas Stanley Monck, married Jane Staples, daughter of the Rev. A. Staples.
8. William Domville Stanley Monck, M.P.
9. Anne Isabella Monck, married in 1777, to Cornwallis, 1st Lord Hawarden.
10. Alicia, married Rev. .lohn Campbell, Rector of Carrickmacross

He died in 1739.
