Biography
Martha Ann Matthews was born on February 29, 1860 in Stephens, Texas, United States, daughter of Joseph Beck Matthews (1824–1895) and Caroline Spears (1828–1924).[1]
In 1860, Martha was living with her parents, Joseph B Mathews (35) and Caroline Mathews (31); her siblings, John Mathews (8), and Mary Mathews (2); and Elizabeth Mathews (9), and Martha Mathews (5/12). [1]
Martha (14) married Martin Van Buren Hoover (33) (born on June 24, 1841 in Logan, Ohio, United States) on January 14, 1875 in Shackelford, Texas.
Martha died on February 27, 1949 in Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas, aged 88.
