Biography

Lucy (Mauro) Maki was born in Ontario, Canada.

Lucy was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, October 12, 1919, to Arturo Mauro and Mary Fortezza. She met her husband, Walter Maki, at the Canada Car and Foundry and they were married in 1941. They lived most of their lives in Fort William before moving to Eureka, California where they spent 24 happy years together. They returned to Canada to be near family in Kamloops, British Columbia, after Walter had retired. Lucy was known for her great cooking and her ceramics, both of which she excelled at. Walter and Lucy raised 5 children in Fort William and always, fondly remembered their wonderful home and property in South Neebing.

Lucy was predeceased by her parents, her husband Walter, her daughter Marylu Maki, her granddaughter Jessica Maki, 2 brothers Angelo and Joseph Mauro. A private service will be held for Lucy Maki and interment will be with her beloved husband at Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops, British Columbia.^[1]
