Dean Family Research
In Oct 2020 I began my research in to the Dean side of the family again. John had been an EOL for me up until then. Until I came across other researchers and this familysearch link. [1].
It is difficult to source records as some from Bath County, VA were destroyed during the Civil War; and most pre-Civil War records of Rockingham were destroyed during the Valley Campaign of 1864. [3]

update: I removed the match. I believe Agnes McClanahan is attached as a wife of John Dean in error.
I marked Agnes McClanahan McClanahan-214 and Agnes Wilson Wilson-713 as an Unmerged Match because...
They're both married to the same man & one of Agnes Wilson's children is William McC Dean. Could it be that it was Mrs. Agnes (McClanahan) Wilson that John Dean married?
