Thomas was born in 1825. He was the son of Thomas McConachy and Margaret McComb.
Thomas travelled with his parents on the ship "Catherine Jamieson" to the Port Phillip District of the Colony of New South Wales, Australia arriving on the 22 October 1841[1]
The McConachy family have published a family history, "One Man's Family - Thomas McConachy and His Descendants", which contains an extensive family history and tree. A companion webite, The McConachy Clan, has been created from which a electonic copy of the book can be purchased and/or a family tree downloaded for free.
Thomas' arrival in the Port Phillip District of the Colony of New South Wales is the only record of Thomas.
The McConachy family history book speculates that he died before the registration of deaths was commenced[2].
