I believe that Martha McElhaney-135 to be the incorrect spouse on Issac Counts. The information that I have seen and family records state that Issac maried a Patsey McMurray on March 14 1803. She may have an AKA of McElhaney but was born McMurray.
Possible related to Mary McMurray-93 who married Arthur Bowen-959?
Martha McElhaney daughter of John and Margaret McElhaney was born in 1802 not 1780. Her Parents would have only been 9 and 7 years old when she was born. Removed as parents because of the DOB issue.
If Patsy's birthdate is correct, she is only 7 years younger then her "mother" and 9 years younger then John. So I'm thinking she is John's sister rather then daughter
I have results from FTDNA - autosomal. How do I get this on profile pages such as John McElhany and his wife Margaret Bowen McElhany so that I can find out if my atDNA links me up with any of the profilers who are related to John and Margaret McElhany. Thx, Linda Alcott Maples
McElhaney-309 and McElhaney-135 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same individual. Martha is the daughter of John Moses McElhaney b. 1771 and Martha born about 1790 in Grainger, TN
