Biography

When Elias Alexander McFadden was born on June 6, 1815, in Spartanburg, South Carolina^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}, his father, Alexander, was 55 and his mother, Mary, was 51. He married Permelia M. "Emmaline" Loggins^[2][3][4][5] on April 2, 1848^{[1][6][7][8][9]}, in Calhoun, Alabama. They had eight children in 25 years.

Elias died on July 31, 1904, in Clay, Mississippi, having lived a long life of 89 years, and was buried in Cairo, Mississippi in Enon Baptist Cemetery^[1].
