Alfred Bruce was born in 1882 at New Westminster, BC.[1] He died in 1950 at the age of 68 in Colwood, BC. He was the son of Charles McNaughton and Sarah Oldershaw. At the time of his death he was widowed.[2] He was buried at Ross Bay Cemetery in Victoria, BC.[3]
Alfred Bruce McNaughton and Myrtle Rose Miller were married at Victoria, BC on April 10, 1905.[4]
On December 15, 1915, Alfred registered for the CEF. He gave his residence as farmer at Cowichan Lake. He served twice in France, and wounded both times. He was discharged as medically unfit in 1918.[5]
