Ruth McNeill married Julian A. Cook, Sr. in 1929 in Philadelphia.[1][2] In 1930 the couple was living in Washington, DC.[3] Their son Julian was born later that year. In 1940 Ruth's husband was a general superintendent at [Howard] University. The family was enumerated at "Howard Manor" in Washington.[4]
Birth date per US Social Security Death Index. Census returns once married make her a bit younger.
Per her FamilySearch profile she was the daughter of Thomas and Lizzie McNeill of Fayetteville, North Carolina.[6][7] (enumerations consistent with Sept 1901 birth date).
