Biography

Mable Mercer was born 7 February 1930 in North Carolina, the daughter of William Walton Mercer and Alice Moseley Mercer^[1].

In 1930^[1] and 1940^[2], she lived with her family in Gastonia, North Carolina.

She married Boyd Calvin Pittman.

Their first child, a daughter, was stillborn, born prematurely in 1948^[3]. Donald Reid Pittman was born in 1950^[4], Darlene Victoria Pittman followed in 1951^[5], and Anthony Bradford Pittman arrived in 1969^[6].

She was mentioned in her mother Alice's obituary in 1989^[7].
