MRS. SARAH FRAZER.

A link with the early days of Grenfell was dropped on Friday with the passing of Mrs. Sarah Frazer, relict of the late Mr. James Frazer, and who had reached, the age of 86 years, her last birthday being on the 18th August. The late Mrs. Frazer was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miles, and was born at Wagga, and came to Grenfell when six years of age, residing here since that time. She was married in Holy Trinity Church 67 years ago the second marriage to be cele- brated in the new church. Her parents conducted a hotel on the Bimbi road at Dick's Bridge at the time of the Ben Hall gangs activities, and later moved to the Nag's Head Hotel on the Forbes road. During her long life at Grenfell the late Mrs. Frazer was of a retiring disposition, her chief delight being in her garden, and up to the end - apart from her family - flowers would be her first favorite; Two brothers (Harry and Charles Miles) and two, sisters (Mrs. Adlam and Mrs. G. Buttenshaw) survive her. Surviving members of her family are Lena (Mrs. Harvey), Jim and Les, Ida (Mrs. Flinn), Flo (Mrs. Shoemark), Nelson, Harold, Sep., Gladys (Mrs. Wild), and Doris. Two sons (Tom and Russell) predeceased her. There are 31 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren surviving. Grandchildren on service are: Jim Shoemark, Tiny Shoemark, Jock Shoemark, Jack Harvey, Joan and Betty Harvey, Jack Frazer, Jim Flinn, Ken Flinn, Russell Frazer, Bill Frazer. The funeral on Saturday after noon was from Holy Trinity Church, following a service conducted by Rev. A. S. Rowe, who also officiated at the interment. Many floral tributes were received, and representative town and district residents were present, besides many old friends. Mr. H. S. Macneil (President) represented the Grenfell Jockey Club.
