Urban Owen Miller was born January 30, 1890 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina to parents J. D. Miller and Sarah Jane Hunt .[1]
Urban married Maude Williams April 14, 1915 in Catawba County, North Carolina. [2]Three children were born to this union:
  1. Eric Owen ( 1916 - 1991)
  2. Betty Jane (1918 - 2009)
  3. Carl Williams (1919 - 1999)
He passed away December 6, 1958 in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina from "retroperitoneal liposarcoma" with his abscess being "massive on the spleen w/ fistula to colon..."[3] and he was buried at Millers Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hickory. [4]
