MILLIDGE: Stephen Millidge born 1761 in Whippany, Hanover Township, Morris County, NJ, d. 17 Sep 1803, s/o Thomas Millidge and Mercy Barker: came to NS in 1783 as a Loyalist, then moved to NB and settled in Westcock, Sackville Parish, Westmorland County. He is on a list of Post-War land grantees from the 2nd New Jersey Volunteers dated July 14, 1784[1]

He married 10 Jan 1790 Sarah Botsford b. 11 Sep 1771, d. 20 Aug 1807, d/o Amos Botsford and Sarah Chandler: Stephen was High Sheriff of Westmorland County.

The 24 Apr 1803 edition of ' The Saint John Gazette reported: "d. Westmorland, Saturday 17th inst, apoplexy, Stephen Millidge Esq."

4) Caroline Millidge b. 1796, d. 14 Aug 1821, m. (1st) Edward Hicks Cutler of Annapolis, NS and Chatham, NB, b. 12 Mar 1791, d. 1 Jan 1867: m. (2nd) Samuel Cornwall b. - , died 20 Sep 1824: they had one daughter:
5) Eliza Millidge born 1799 at Sackville, NB, d. 1888 at Dorchester, NB, m. 1820 Marmaduke A. Backhouse born 1794 at Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland, died 19 May 1840: settled first at Sackville, then at Dorchester, Westmorland County: had nine children who all died unmarried:
6) William Pagan Millidge born 1800, d. 20 Aug 1807:
7) Phoebe Walker Millidge b. 25 Jun 1802, d. 25 Jan 1889, m. 22 Aug 1822 Edward Barron Chandler b. 1800, d. 1880: had eleven children.
