Biography

John was born about 1860 in Cossington, Somerset the son of Charles Mogg (~1824 - 1903) and Ellen (Fisher) Mogg (~1827 - 1908).[1]

1861 Census on the 7th April 1861 John was living at The Grove, Cossington, Bridgwater, Somerset with his parents Charles and Ellen, and his siblings George, Martha, Charles, Priscilla and Benjamin.[2]

1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 Charles an agricultural labourer, was living at The Grove House, Cossington, Bridgwater, Somerset with his parents Charles and Ellen, and his siblings Ellen, Walter, Charles, Permella and Anne.[3]

First Marriage

John married Catherine OHanlon (~1861 - 1904) and the marriage was registered in the 1st quarter 1882 in Liverpool, Lancashire.[4]

1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 John a greengrocer, was living at 26 Desmesne Street, Poulton, Cheshire with his wife Catherine and their son Charles.[5]

1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 John a road foreman with the District Council, was living in Bridgwater, Somerset with his wife Catherine and their son Charles.[6]

Second Marriage

John married Sarah Ann Iseley (~1860 - ) and the marriage was registered in the 4th quarter 1909 in West Derby, Lancashire.[7]

1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 John a milk dealer, was living at 94 Norway Street, Waterloo, Lancashire, with his second wife Sarah a general shop manager, and their child Doris. John's step-daughter Margery R. Iseley was also living with them.[8]

In the 1921 census John (age 61), Market Gardener, was the married head of household at 94 Norway Street, Waterloo, Lancashire, England.[9]
