Biography

George Henry Monk was born on August 17, 1748 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of James Monk (<1717–1768) and Ann DEERING (1724–1789).[1] [2]

George (34) married Elizabeth Wentworth Gould (23) (born on March 21, 1759 in Boston; daughter of John Gould Jr. and Elizabeth Deering (Wentworth) Gould) on December 14, 1782 in St Martin in the Fields, Westminster, Middlesex, England.[3] Their son was John Benning Monk (1794–1854).

George died on July 30, 1823 in Montreal, Lower Canada, aged 74.[4] [5]
