Biography

Hannah was born on 4 December 1845, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and was baptised at Christ Church St Lawrence on 4 October 1846; the church register entry has the notation that her parents were William and Sarah Morris, of Elizabeth Street, labourer.^[1]

She may be the Hannah Morris who married George Adams (a carrier) at Bowenfels (Presbyterian) on 22 June 1866. They were spinster and bachelor, and both were living at Blackheath. Hannah Adams died on 23 August 1929 at South Ashfield, age 83 (her father's name was noted as William Morris in her death certificate). ^{[2] [3]}

Research Notes

Interestingly, there is a baptism on the same day for Martha LEES, daughter of Edward and Hannah LEES of Glebe, carpenter (see image). Are they related?

Another Hannah Morris was born in 1850, but she was the daughter of ANOTHER COUPLE who lived at MAITLAND.^[4]
