Fred was born in Marietta, Ohio in 1875 to F. W. and Mary J. (Webster) Morse.[1] In 1880, he lived in Marietta with his parents, siblings Linda, Ada, and Walter, and housekeeper Melvina Hull.[2]
In 1910, he lived in Augusta, Georgia, with wife Emmie; he worked as a tailor.[3] By 1917, he was no longer married; he listed his brother Charles W. (Walter) in Lakeland, Florida as his closest relative.[4]
Around 1930, he moved into the home of C. C. Byers and his mother in Tampa, Florida.[5] He lived with C. C. for the rest of his life.[6][7][8][9]
He passed away in June 1958.[10] He was buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeland.[11]
Research Notes
Fred's birth certificate lists his birth date as October 10.[1] More sources list his birth date as October 16.[4][12]
It is unknown what happened to Emmie. Fred was referred to as a bachelor for the rest of his life.
