Rebecca Mouser was born in 1803, in Virginia. This is according to her West Virginia Death record. Her parents were Jacob Mouser and Christina [Andries] Mouser.
Rebecca married Abraham Charles Wilson on January 10, 1822, in Monongalia County, Virginia [This would later become Monongalia County, West Virginia in 1863].
Abraham and Rebecca Wilson settled in Taylor County, Virginia [later to become Taylor County, West Virginia in 1863]. The couple raised a family there.
Rebecca [Mouser] Wilson died on June 25, 1880, in Taylor County, West Virginia, USA. She was buried in the Haymond Cemetery in Grafton, Taylor County, West Virginia, USA. Her headstone lists her birth as 1805. However, her WV death record lists it as 1803. It is believed that this was a mistake on the headstone, based on the fact that the current headstone is a much newer one than the others surrounding it, believed to be a replacement for an older previous headstone that once stood in the same place.
