He was naturalized as a U. S. citizen on 26 Aug 1943 in Lichfield, Staffordshire, England. [1]
On 3 Jul 1948, he departed on a troop ship from Atlantic Seaports, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Canada, “for three months” bound for Rotterdam, the Netherlands.[4]
He died on 24 Apr 2003 in Berlin, Washington, Vermont, United States. [5] and was buried in Hope Cemetery in Barre, Washington, Vermont. [6]
