Biography

Thomas H. Murray, son of John Murray and Catherine Hoey, was born about 1866 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama, United States. He was enumerated there with his parents and siblings during the 1870 and 1880 censuses.^[1][2]

Thomas married Margaret Josephine "Maggie" Brosnahan (aka Bressingham) on 14 November 1898.^[3][4] They had two children:^[5]

1. Catherine Murray (1899 - 1976)
2. Annie Murray (1901 - 1984)

They were enumerated with an infant daughter at 305 Conception in Mobile, living in the household of Maggie's aunt, Kate Bower.^[6]

He died in 1903, and was buried at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile.^[5]

Thomas was mentioned as deceased in his father's 1908 probate file, with his two minor children listed as heirs.^[7]

Research Notes

The FamilySearch profile gives his full name as Thomas Henthorne Murray. Need to figure out where that middle name came from. All I've seen so far is just the middle initial H. Bjorkgren-1 13:29, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
