Biography

Andrew and his siblings, Mathias, Antone, Joseph, and Agnes, immigrated from Germany. In 1850 they were all living together in Holland, Wisconsin. He probably married Rachel A. Obits sometime before 1850 in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Sometime between 1860 and 1870 he moved back to Wisconsin. According to the 1870 census he was a farmer and had $8000 worth of real estate and $2000 worth of personal estate. He and Rachel had nine children (five girls and four boys):
