Maria was born on 16 March 1852 to parents Hans Heinrich Moller and Anna geb Bahr of Stuvenborn. She was baptized 12 April 1852 in the church of Sülfeld, Kreis Segeberg. On 25 May 1874 she married Hans Friedrich Lewerenz and they had five children before immigrating to America in 1882. Three more children were born in America. She passed away 2 March 1939 in Breedsville, Van Buren County, Michigan USA.
